Here are links to some of the press and other coverage that our Grammy win last weekend attracted.
I’ve already linked to the Alb’s hometown paper’s coverage, but the newspaper of the Kap’s old stomping ground has this article.
Molly, 8bb’s illustrious founding flute player, who is now living and working all over Oregon, has been getting plenty of press attention, from the Times Herald-Record, The Oregonian and Northwest Reverb.
Gordon Fitzell, whose spectacularly beautiful violence and its cousin, evanescence, are on the Grammy-winning disc, gets two mentions in his native Winnipeg.
Our ensemble-in-residence homes have been giving us love: Richmond, Chicago and DePauw (who also had a more general story about our residency here). The Chicago Daily Herald also had this piece about Chicagoland Grammy winners. All our friends in the blogosphere have been offering congrats. Even the newspaper of a previous 8bb home, Cincinnati, has a little mention.
Still, nobody can answer the one question we really care about: How many statues do we get? One or six?

You get one “statue.” And you can each purchase a nifty certificate, suitable for framing, for a bunch of bucks, if only you can get the Grammy folks to return your calls/emails/letters (accoring to a colleague who was a soloist for the 2000 Grammy Award-winning recording of Britten’s War Requiem by the Washington Chorus).
