Lost in translation

Tim, I changed a word in your Dr Atomic post from the other day. In the second paragraph, first sentence, you wrote “I was flawed by the opera”. I assumed that you meant “floored”, but I couldn’t be sure, because in the US those two words sound noticeably different. It was when I said them out loud in my worst Australian accent that I realized that to you they sound exactly the same!
